  • RossCo graduated from the NSW Conservatorium of Music in 1978 with an Associate Diploma in Jazz Studies before moving to Los Angeles, USA 1979 where he studied at the Dick Grove School of Music completing the Instrumental Program. As a member of the Dick Grove "A" Big Band RossCo performed at jazz festivals, schools and colleges around Los Angeles. It was at this time that RossCo undertook private trumpet lessons with James Stamp and Uon Racy.

    1981 RossCo moved to Philadelphia to study with the legendary Dr. (Doc) Donald S. Reinhardt, returning to Philadelphia to further private studies in Trumpet Pedagogy with Doc in 1983, 1985 & 1986 & 1989. It was in 1986 RossCo attended Doc's Easter Teacher's  Clinics where RossCo gained qualification to teach Doc's Pivot System.

    RossCo's body of work is broad and extensive, working in theatre as lead trumpet for both seasons of "They're Playing Our Song" starring Jacquie Weaver & John Waters and regularly depping in "Annie". RossCo's many TV appearances include The Mid-Day Show with the Doug Parkinson Band and Hey Hey It's Saturday with Stormy Monday as well as recording sound tracks for many recording artists, TV themes and movie soundtracks including "Young Einstein".

    1982 RossCo was a member of the Daly Wilson Big Band playing split lead and 2nd trumpet, touring the east coast of Australia and recording a live performance at the ABC as part of the "(Don) Burrows Collection" with James Morrison and Vince Jones as special guest performers. The DWBB also performed and recorded live at the Sydney Town Hall with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Don Burrows. RossCo went on to later tour with the Warren Daly Big Band.

    1980's saw RossCo support and tour with many Australian Bands and artists including Bill Burton, Stormy Monday (with the late Ken James on Tenor Saxophone), Doug Parkinson, Daryl Braithwaite and many visiting International artists including The Monte Carlo International Circus, Johnny Ray, Dorothy Lamour, Matt Monroe, Gene Pitney, Frank Gorshin (the Riddler from the Batman TV series), Petula Clark, Gloria Loring, KC and The Sunshine Band, The Monkees and Jerry Lewis.

    Sir Bob Geldoff was quoted as saying that popular music in the 1970's was influenced by 3 bands - The Sex Pistols, The Rammones and The Saints. In 1986 RossCo joined the Saints (with Dale Barlow on Tenor Saxophone) for their Australasian & European Tours which included live to air performances at the BBC Recording Studios in London. 1987 saw The Saints with the Australian Made Tour also featuring INXS, Jimmy Barnes, The Divinyls, The Models, I'm Talking, The Trffids and Mental As Anything.

    1990  RossCo joined the Dorian Mode Quintet (featuring Bernie McGann) following Dorian Mode's success in Japan, making several TV appearances and CD recordings. RossCo also joined Sydney band "Western Front" a multi award winning band - 7 Mo Awards and 8 Ace awards for Best Supporting Band at the "Mounties" Club in Western Sydney. 

    2010 RossCo joined "Best Kept Secret" Band that gigs in Sydney.
